Full Bio

Diane Hill has a Ph.D. in Theatre from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Music and Master of Arts in Theatre from the University of Michigan. Prior to joining The Inspired Acting Company as Associate Producer, Diane served as Artistic Director at Theatre NOVA, and she founded and served as Artistic/Executive Director of Two Muses Theatre in West Bloomfield.

 

Diane was a professor of theatre at Wayne State University, University of Detroit Mercy, and Oakland Community College, where she originated the Theatre degree program and created the entire curriculum.

 

Diane has produced and directed shows for professional theatre companies including Theatre NOVA/Ann Arbor, Breathe Art Theatre Company/Detroit, Opus Mime/Ann Arbor, Jewish Ensemble Theatre/West Bloomfield, Morris Co Art Theatre/Ann Arbor, Two Muses Theatre/West Bloomfield, and Heartlande Theatre Company/Detroit.

 

She was a district and state-wide vocal adjudicator for Michigan School Vocal Association for ten years and was Editor in Chief and monthly columnist for three years for VocalEase Magazine, a national publication for choral educators. Also a busy and accomplished actor, she has won acting awards for her work as Vivian Bearing in WIT, Mama in 'Night, Mother, Zelda in The How and the Why and Agnes in I Do! I Do!
