Full Bio
Emily Lange is the Educational Program Director at The Inspired Acting Company, where she shapes the company’s educational vision and designs engaging learning experiences that foster curiosity, confidence, and creative expression. She holds a B.A. in Theatre Studies: Directing, with a minor in Dance, from Illinois State University. Her artistic and pedagogical work is deeply informed by training in Laban Technique, the Ostrenko Method, and a wide range of dance styles.
With more than a decade of experience as a teaching artist and mentor, Emily has collaborated with organizations including Planet Ant, Matrix Theatre, Youth Arts Alliance, Pink Umbrella Theatre, First Stage, Milwaukee Ballet Company, and Danceworks MKE. She currently serves as Community Programs Coordinator at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance and as Lead Mentor for JumpStart Theatre | Michigan, supporting emerging arts educators and advancing equitable access to arts education.
Emily’s approach to teaching and program leadership is grounded in the belief that theatre and movement empower learners of all ages to take creative risks, build empathetic communities, and discover their artistic voices.
