Maria Spencer is thrilled to have been invited to be a part of The Inspired Acting Company.

With a brief history in theatre in her younger years, Maria learned that some of the most amazing people can be found in the theatre. From her beginning in high school productions, to being a founding member of The Troupe Improv Group at Michigan Technological University, Maria got a taste of being on stage and couldn't let it go. Later moving to East Lansing and receiving a BA in Theatre from Michigan State University, Maria participated in local community theatre in addition to MSU Productions and Summer Circle. Maria was blessed to be a part of some amazing productions over the years, including: A Streetcar Named Desire (Blanche DuBois), Crimes of the Heart (Babe), The Rainmaker (Lizzie), and She Would and She Would Not (Hypolita) among others. 

Since her time at MSU, Maria has enjoyed supporting fellow actors in their artistic endeavors and was honored to be invited to be a part of The Inspired Acting Company, and rejoin the theatrical arts - in any small way.

From helping in the Box Office to House Management, Maria cannot express the joy and appreciation she feels spending time in the theatre and helping it grow. It has truly recaptured her heart, and she is happy to lift up and support the efforts of the incredibly talented artists continually walking across our stage and through our doors. With the move to Managing Director, Maria is excited to continue her journey with the IAC and help build our community of theatre in her adopted hometown area of the last 25 years.
