Full Bio

Eli Cavaliero is a versatile theatre artist whose work spans stage management, costume design and construction, scenic design, and scenic painting. A proud graduate of Oakland University with a degree in Theatre Design and Technology, Eli focused his studies on scenic and costume design as well as stage management.

Born in Dearborn and raised in Livonia, Michigan, Eli’s passion for theatre began in high school as part of the Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) program. There, he quickly became the go-to technician, running sound, programming lights, and handling every technical challenge that came his way. His early experiences led him to teaching, where he has instructed students ages 7–18 in dance, acting, and technical theatre while simultaneously designing and preparing for productions. Today, Eli continues to teach and balances a robust freelance career, often working on five or six productions at once.

His credits include Clue: The Movie (CAPA, Technical Director), The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time(Oakland University, Costume Designer), Acis and Galatea (Oakland University, Stage Manager), Private Lives (The Inspired Acting Company, Stage Manager/Costume Designer), and The (Curious Case of the) Watson Intelligence (The Inspired Acting Company, Stage Manager).

Eli is dedicated to creating theatre that is both collaborative and meaningful. He honors the memory of his mentor, Angela Hillman, with every project he takes on—always striving to #StayInTheLight.
