The Inspired Acting Company is excited to announce COMBINED GENERAL AUDITIONS for SIX Michigan theatres:
AUDITIONS areSaturday, May 18 from 11am-5pm and Monday, May 20th, from 5-10pm WHERE:The Inspired Acting Company 1124 E West Maple Rd, Walled Lake, MI.
PREPARATION:All Productions: Two contrasting monologues and 16 bars of music if interested in musical. If interested in Shakespeare in Detroit, your audition should include one Shakespeare or classical monologue written before 1900. Musicals only: One modern monologue and 32 bars of music. Please time your auditions. They must not exceed 4 minutes. |
We STRONGLY encourage actors of all backgrounds to audition. Several shows REQUIRE BIPOC actors, and very few shows require specifically white actors. Most shows will be able to be cast regardless of sex, race, color, ethnicity, disability, religious-affiliation, sexual orientation and gender identity. |
No need to bring hard copies of your headshot and resume, but you must email them to info@inspiredacting.org at least 24 hours prior to your audition so that all companies will have access to them. All acting positions are paid. Limited Equity Special Appearance contracts may be available for each show at The Inspired Acting Company, Shakespeare in Detroit and Theatre NOVA. Seeking local actors. In general, most theatres are unable to provide housing. |
